Halloween 2010
Caebre's School Photo 2010
Caebre is now 27 months old and 45 lbs. She stands 39 inches tall and her vocabulary is robust and growing every minute! She loves puppies, dolls, trucks/trains and making music. In mid-October, Caebre started playschool one day per week and next week will begin a second day. She is flourishing in that environment and comes home so happy and pleasantly tired. It's been a gift (especially to Mommy!).
We had a really wonderful summer with trips to the beach, the zoo, and the coast of Maine on our vacation with Nana. Fall brought apple picking and trick-or-treating and lots of playtime outside. Next up - holiday adventures!

Winter has come and gone!
And spring is well underway...thanks to Facebook, it's hard to remember to get in and make updates. I'm trying to be better, though! Here are some recent updates:

Getting ready for Winter
Thanksgiving 2009
18 Month Update
Well, I haven't posted in a while - Facebook apparently controls my life these days! I will try to catch up with photos of life with Caebre since November (!), but in the meantime, we had Cae's 18 month checkup with the pediatrician this week.
Cae is now 32lbs and 33 1/2 inches tall! The doctor mentioned that at age two, they can estimate what the child's height will be at adulthood by doubling the height at their 2-year visit. Since Cae is already almost 3 feet tall and we have another six months until that checkup, I think it's safe to say that Caebre is going to be tall just like her daddy.
Unfortunately, Cae is suffering from the mother of all head/chest colds (thanks to her mom) and is having a rough time. We haven't been able to do many of our usual activities, like story time at the library, or play dates, etc. It's been about two weeks now, so here's hoping we're at the end of this thing!
Other than that, the doctor was incredibly impressed with Caebre's vocabulary, which includes approximately 40 words and phrases and her overall development. I was telling her that one new thing Cae does is to try to pull Mommy or Daddy up and bring us where she wants us. She'll actually go to the place where she wants us to be and either points to it, or pats the spot for us to sit.
Yesterday I had to laugh. We have his/her closets in the master, with double bi-fold doors on each. Cae went to Chris's closet and with some flair, opened up the doors. She then stood back, crossed her arms and put a hand to her mouth (as if to stroke her imaginary goatee) and said "hmmmm..." I was making the bed up with clean sheets and was only half paying attention. So, she looked at me and said "MAMA!" - I looked up and she did it again. So I laughed and said, "oh, are you choosing your outfit for work today?" She shook her head and said "no" but reached in and grabbed one of Chris's dress shirts and started tugging...She is too cute!
I wanted to put Cae's words down so that I will remember later. I'm already forgetting so much! She's growing up too fast.
